What We have learned in Math This Week
Hi and welcome to my blog! This week in Math we have learned three different things. The firat thing was simple interest. If you have ever gone to the bank with your parents when they deposit money into their savings account, or been with them when they buysomething using their credit card you have seen examples of a percent of interest. Many people take out loans when they buy cars, or when they buy a house. These are other examples of when an interest rate is used.
The seccond thing we learned was Data analysis and graphs. Graphs are a visual representation of data. Once scientists have collected data, they will share their results by both writing about it and putting it in a graph.
The third thing that we learned was selecting samples. There are three different types if them, The first one is systematic sample. That ia when a member of population is selected at ramdom, and then others are selected my using a pattern. An example is if I pick one person in the phone book to take a survey an then I would pick every 50th person. The seccond one is convenience sample. That is when the most valuible person is chosen. An example is when you ask people at starbuck if thet like coffe. The last one is self-selected. That is when members of a population vonlenter to take a suvey. An example is when you mail out a survey and it is optional to take.
That is all we have learned in math this week. Thank you for visiting my blog!!
