Hi!! Welcome to my blog. I hope you like my post! On Monday we learned about perimeter and circumference.  Perimeter refers to the distance around a shape. Circumference is used with circles.  It also refers to the distance around a circle. We  used Pi, a constant that equals 3.14 when finding the circumference of a circle. I think that I can teach this to someone else.

On Tuesday we learned In this lesson, you will be calculating the area of  parallelograms, rectangles, and squares.  The area refers to all of the space inside of a shape.  We calculated the space inside.  This is a real life skill,  When you need to determine how much carpeting to purchase for your bedroom, you need to find the area.  Or, if you want to paint your bedroom walls, or cover them with wall paper, you need to find the area.  By measuring the length and the width, or the base and the height,  then multiplying these numbers together, you can find the area. I think that I can teach this to someone else.

On Wednesday we learned area of triangles and trapezoids. A trapezoid is a little different, because there are two bases, or two horizontal sides with a trapezoid, you will add the two bases together, then multiply by height and either multiply by 1/2 or divide by 2. I think that I can teach this to someone else.

On Thursday we learned……….. well I don’t know because I was at home sick So that is why I don’t know what we did.I don’ think I can teach this to someone else because I don’t know how to do it.

On Friday our regular teacher was not here so we did review of what we did earlier in the week. We did Perimeter and area but we are not doing what I don’t know how to do, so I am happy.

Dear Mom and Dad,

I wanted to write you to let you know how proud I am to be a Spartan. Right now I am in Sparta. I really want to come home but I am training for sports. The government means a lot to me. In an oligarchy a few people hold power.  My role in Sparta is to train in sports and to become a healthy, so our children can become healthy. I am training for a lot of different things like running, trowing the javelin, and wrestling. I am having a lot of fun training, but it is really heard work to do. Sparta is way better than Athens because Sparta has the women train for sports to become healthy and Athens doesn’t. I think that it will be fun to grow old as a Spartan because it is really fun to be out here in Sparta.

I like to train for the sports. I like to throw the javelin and running, but my favorite is to do  wrestling because I am really good at it. I beat everyone else who is training with me. It has been a lot of fun training here. I had fun writing this letter but I have to go. Well maybe I will see you someday. Bye!!

1) If you look at a clock and it has the big hand on the 12 and the little hand on the 6 it makes a straight angle.

2) If you look at a window the corner makes a right angle.

3) If you look at the pole of a flag and the board it would make an obtuse angle.

4) If you look at door all of the sides make right angles.

5) If you look at a light switch and it is pointing up it is making an acute angle.

6) If you look at a light switch and it is pointing down it is making an acute angle.

7)If you look at a roof it is making an obtuse angle.

8) If you look at a television all of the sides have right angles.

9)If you look at the clock and it says 5:00 it is making an obtuse angle.

10)If you look at a corner it is making either an obtuse angle, an acute angle, or a right angle.

11)If you look at a fire place all sides are right angles.

12)I you look at a chair the part where you put you back and your bottom it is making a right angle.

13) If you look at a tree it can be making an obtuse angle, an acute angle, or a right angle.

14)If you look at some gates the edges are making a right angles.

15)If you open a book and hold it open all the way it is making an obtuse angle.

16)If you look at all of the letters in the alphabet they are making all of the angles.

17)If you look at the sides of the math book it is making a right angle.

18)If you look at the legs of a table they are making a straight angle.

19)If you look at a stop sign the angle it is making is an obtuse angle.

20)If you look at an oven it it making a right angle.

Hi everyone and welcome to my blog. I hope you like my post! One assignment I had this week was to create a fake Facebook page about myself, 10 years from now. This was probably one of the most fun posts that we have ever done. I liked it because we got to do this like we were 10 years in the future.  I had a lot of fun doing this drawing. I was happy with this because It was just really fun. I can’t wait to be 10 years older than I am right now! I think that it will be a fun experience.
